The Catena Aurea (Golden Chain) Of St. Thomas Aquinas is a compilation of the Early Church Fathers commentary on the Gospels.

Each verse or two of St Luke’s gospel is then followed by several paragraphs of commentary drawn from such authors as St John Chrysostom, St Augustine, St Cyril, St. Ambrose, St Gregory of Nyssa, St Gregory Nazianzen, St Bede, Eusebius, Origen and various other patristic authors.

This edition is a reprint of an 19th century edition.
