This candle is based on the Beehive or Clochán huts used by early medieval Irish hermits on the island of Skellig Michael. This candle measures about 23 cm (9 in) in height. These candles are designed and crafted by the monks of Silverstream Priory.

They are made from 70% pure beeswax expertly blended with 30% pure paraffin wax to produce a sweet-smelling candle which has a noble appearance and steady burn.
