SUBIACO: Handmade Jujube Wood Rosary (Black)
These rosaries are handmade by the monks of Silverstream Priory with high quality Jujube wood beads and a sturdy Crucifixes. The ‘black’ and ‘dark brown’ variants in the St. Benedict Cross refer to the inlay on the front.
THE BEADS
According to some traditions, Our Lord’s crown of thorns was made from one of the varieties of Jujube tree which is native to Palestine. The beads that our rosaries are made with are a deep, warm brown in colour and vary slightly in hue, some touched with a slightly lighter reddish brown. Their finish is glossy.
THE CROSS
The Saint Benedict Crosses are made in Italy and come with a Saint Benedict medal inset. The ‘black’ and ‘dark brown’ variants in the St. Benedict Cross refer to the enamel inlay on the front.
